Commercial Construction Superintendent

About the Role: As a Superintendent, you’ll oversee all on-site activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. You’ll coordinate subcontractors, manage logistics, and serve as the key point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and building staff.

Key Responsibilities: Develop and manage on-site logistics plans and field procedures. Supervise subcontractors and laborers to maintain schedules, safety, and quality. Interface professionally with clients, architects, engineers, and building staff. Coordinate closely with estimating, engineering, and project management teams. Maintain project documentation, including schedules, daily reports, and meeting minutes. Lead weekly subcontractor meetings and enforce site safety protocols. Monitor budgets for general conditions, labor hours, and site materials. Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and approved shop drawings. Serve as liaison with municipalities, labor representatives, and community stakeholders.

Qualifications: 7+ years of experience in commercial interiors construction. High school diploma required; additional certifications preferred. Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety standards, and project controls. NYC Site Safety License and OSHA 10/30/40 certifications (ASHE a plus).Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Ability to maintain neat records, a clean worksite, and a professional appearance. Physical Demands & Work Conditions Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and perform physical tasks such as climbing, kneeling, and standing. Exposure to construction site conditions including noise, weather, and mechanical equipment. Requires frequent movement and interaction with tools, materials, and team members.
