Responsible for global mechanical engineering direction, the full-time salaried Mechanical Design Principal will oversee the design of datacenter projects, manage relationships with design partners, and ensure compliance with Equinix standards while working remotely.

Key responsibilities: Lead the design process for a portfolio of datacenters, ensuring technical excellence and cost management Evaluate new products and support the implementation of Reference Designs across regional teams Manage project schedules and budgets, ensuring timely delivery of design documentation and adherence to standards Required qualifications 7+ years of experience in a Design MEP firm or as an Architectural lead in a Mission Critical Design practice Advanced Degree (Masters) in Mechanical Engineering preferred, or extensive relevant experience Familiarity with mechanical design practices and regulations in AMER, EMEA, and APAC regions PE, CEng, or local equivalent certification is desirable but not essential Proficiency in spoken and written English; additional languages are a plus
