Assistant Store Manager

Duluth Trading Company seeks a Retail Assistant Store Manager to support daily operations, drive sales, and deliver outstanding service. You’ll help lead a team that lives our practical, down‑to‑earth values, coaching associates on product knowledge and customer engagement. Responsibilities include opening/closing, cash handling, merchandising, inventory management, and ensuring brand standards on the sales floor. You’ll partner with the Store Manager on scheduling, training, and performance feedback while fostering a fun, hardworking culture that celebrates hands‑on lifestyles and keeps customers ready for work and the outdoors. Assist Store Manager with daily store operations and decision‑making Lead and coach associates to deliver exceptional customer service Handle opening, closing, and cash management procedures Oversee merchandising, visual standards, and product presentation Monitor inventory levels, receiving, and stockroom organization Support staffing, scheduling, and on‑the‑job training for team members Track sales performance and key metrics to meet store goals Promote loss prevention and safety policies on the sales floor Resolve customer issues and ensure a positive in‑store experience Help foster a collaborative, hardworking, and authentic store culture Retail operations Team leadership Customer service Cash handling and POS systems Merchandising Inventory management Scheduling and labor management Sales reporting and KPIs Loss prevention Staff training and coaching Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Retail management or leadership training programs (preferred) CPR/First Aid certification (a plus)
