Application Engineer

Role: A growing manufacturer is hiring two Applications / Sales Engineers—one supporting data centers, the other automotive and transportation. This opportunity is built for someone whose strength sits at the intersection of technical problem-solving and sales. Someone who can walk into a customer meeting, understand the application, and help develop a solution that earns the business. Why this role deserves a look: You’ll have influence across the full customer relationship—from early technical discussions and competitive proposals to production launch and account growth. Customers will look to you for answers. Sales will rely on your technical judgment. Manufacturing will work with you to turn customer requirements into something that can be built successfully. You’ll help shape what gets proposed, how it gets made, and why the customer chooses it. The experience that matters You’ve helped grow revenue through technical, customer-facing work in wire and cable, electrical products, electronics, interconnects, or a related industry. You can speak confidently about drawings, components, and manufacturing requirements—and connect those details to the customer’s business needs. You’ll need: A bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and 3+ years of relevant experience. A combination of hands-on technical knowledge and demonstrated sales success. Experience with ISO 9001 and familiarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620C.Strong customer communication and problem-solving skills. Wire harness technology experience is especially valuable. Experience in either target market and knowledge of IATF 16949 are additional advantages. Location & travel: Based in the Cleveland, OH area, with office attendance when not traveling. Travel is approximately 30–40% throughout the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
