The successful candidate will join a collaborative team dedicated to preparing students for college, careers, and civic life through engaging, relevant, and rigorous learning experiences.
Qualifications:
Valid New York State Certification in Business and Marketing Education (7–12) or eligibility for certification.
Strong knowledge of business education curriculum and instructional best practices.
Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, colleagues, and community partners.
Experience integrating technology into instruction.
Ability to qualify for and teach dual-enrollment college courses through the District's partnership with Jamestown Community College (JCC) is preferred.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will:
Teach business education courses to students in grades 7–12.Develop and deliver engaging instruction aligned with New York State Learning Standards.
Provide instruction in areas such as personal finance, entrepreneurship, accounting, marketing, business communications, computer applications, and career readiness.
Deliver and support dual-enrollment business courses through the District's partnership with Jamestown Community College.
Assess student learning and use data to inform instructional decisions.
Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
Collaborate with colleagues, counselors, administrators, and community partners to support student achievement.
Participate in professional learning, faculty meetings, and school improvement initiatives.
Contribute to a positive school culture that promotes student engagement and success.
