To support the development and maintenance of electrical engineering standards for Federal Bureau of Prisons facilities, a Licensed Electrical Engineer will manage the planning, design, and technical review of electrical systems while working remotely on a full-time basis.
Key responsibilities: Plan and oversee the design of electrical power, lighting, and electronic systems for correctional facilities Review and provide technical approval for electrical designs from contracted firms, ensuring compliance with standards and codes Manage the development and maintenance of engineering guidelines and standards, and participate in construction oversight and inspections
Required qualifications: Current and active Professional Engineer license Extensive experience in electrical systems, construction, and facility design Knowledge of building codes, electrical codes, and federal regulations Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications Familiarity with correctional facility operations and standards
