Sr. Project Architect

Responsibilities: On a day-to-day basis, the candidate would be contributing designs to newly acquired projects and an existing repository of residential and commercial blueprints You will maintain direct lines of communication and management with clients, our companys president and the Cities throughout South Florida Creating building designs and highly detailed drawings both by hand and by using specialist computer-aided design (CAD) applications Working closely with a team of other professionals such as building service engineers, construction managers, quantity surveyors and architectural technologists Attend meetings with clients, contractors and other specialists Check site visits to review and receive ongoing updates as to the construction progress Applying for planning permission and advice from governmental new build and legal departments Writing and presenting reports, proposals, applications and contracts Specifying the requirements for the project Adapting plans according to circumstances and resolving any problems that may arise during construction Travelling to building sites, proposed locations and client meetings Salary commensurate with experience Company sponsored health insurance Paid vacation, personal days and holidays Boutique architectural firm with long-term opportunities for growth, ownership and management Employee stock compensation program to correlate with duration of employment at the firm
