Senior Employment Litigation Attorney Direct Counsel is seeking a Senior Employment Litigation Attorney with 7+ years of experience to join the Employment Litigation team of a well-established law firm in Portland. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced attorney to take on meaningful responsibility, work closely with accomplished partners, and continue building a sophisticated employment law practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employment litigation. Experience handling class and collective actions is preferred, though candidates without substantial class action experience are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Develop case strategy and advise clients on litigation risk
- Draft and respond to pleadings and motions
- Manage discovery
- Take and defend depositions
- Argue motions
- Participate in mediations
- Prepare cases for trial
- Manage multiple sophisticated matters in a fast-paced practice
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of employment litigation experience
- Strong employment litigation background
- Class and collective action experience preferred
- Excellent writing and analytical skills
- Strong judgment and organizational skillsJ.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
- Admission to the Oregon Bar required
- Demonstrated ability and interest in incorporating technology and innovative tools into legal practice
