Legal Counsel - FULLY REMOTE

The Opportunity: A high-growth technology business operating across cloud communications and AI is seeking a Corporate Counsel – Telecommunications & Regulatory to join its in-house legal team.

Responsibilities: Advise on FCC, state PUC and telecommunications regulatory requirements affecting UCaaS, CCaaS and VoIP products. Provide guidance on STIR/SHAKEN, Caller ID, CLI masking, interconnection and regulatory filings. Support the legal review of AI-enabled products and emerging AI governance and transparency requirements. Partner with Product and Engineering on regulatory issues throughout the product lifecycle. Support commercial teams on customer regulatory questions and coordinate with external counsel where required. Develop practical compliance frameworks, guidance and training for the wider business. Ideal Background: J.D. with active U.S. state bar membership.4–8 years' legal experience, with strong telecommunications regulatory experience. Good knowledge of FCC rules, the Communications Act and VoIP/cloud communications regulation. Practical experience with call-recording consent, TCPA and/or messaging compliance. Interest or experience in AI regulation and governance. Strong commercial judgement and the ability to translate complex regulation into clear, practical advice.
