CONVENIENCE STORE MANAGER

Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Team ManagementDemonstrate leadership in embedding a customer-first culture throughout the storeManage store employees effectively and professionally, fostering a respectful work environmentDevelop and maintain a fully staffed store with well-trained team membersEffectively train all new hires and provide ongoing development opportunitiesObserve and evaluate employee job performance against critical goalsDelegate tasks effectively and recognize team achievements in a timely manner Operations & Business ManagementOversee overall management of store business operationsBuild and post team schedules that accurately accommodate store operational needs while maintaining high-level customer service and justified payroll levelsManage store inventory and coordinate delivery functions with various vendorsMonitor and analyze business processes and results to profitably achieve store goalsMaintain profitability of the store through cost-effective management practicesManage invoices and paperwork with timely submissionPerform price checks on a monthly basisComplete all shift and daily paperwork properly Customer Service & Store EnvironmentTroubleshoot immediate problems with sales associates, assistant managers and customersMaintain a clean, friendly and welcoming environment for employees and customersConnect with the community to establish positive relationships and drive store successProtect company assets and reputation through adherence to policies and procedures Compliance & DocumentationComply with company programs, policies and procedures as well as regulatory requirementsReport all concerns and incidents with formal documentation to the store supervisorMaintain appropriate working relationships with other associates and supervisorsAssume responsibility for special programs or assignments as needed QualificationsRequired ExperiencePrevious management or supervisory experience requiredExperience in retail or convenience store operations is helpful Essential SkillsStrong leadership and team-building skillsProficient in cash handling procedures and dailyBasic computer skills; specific experience with POS systems helpfulExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to communicate effectively to both large and small groups of employeesStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesSelf-motivated, dependable and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrated understanding and commitment to customer service excellenceEthical, honest, trustworthy and respectful in all interactions Physical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 poundsAbility to stand for up to 12 hoursAbility to work in varying temperature environments (cold/hot)

Certifications: Successful completion of certification testing as needed Work ScheduleThis is a full-time salaried position. The standard work week is Monday through Friday, opening shift. Managers must be available and responsive to their team's needs.
