The schedule involves 12-hour day shifts (7a-7p), transitioning from every four weeks to every other week starting in December. The Physician will manage adult inpatient cases, including internal medicine, infections, and procedures like lumbar puncture, paracentesis, and CVC, while collaborating with subspecialists.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide internal medicine care for adult inpatient cases, without ICU/CCUManage infections
- Perform Diagnostic/Therapeutic Lumbar Puncture
- Perform Paracentesis
- Perform CVCTreat acute medical conditions
- Manage chronic disease flares
- Collaborate with surgical or medical subspecialists
Additional Information
Required Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS)
EMR: Cerner
Setting: Inpatient
Call Schedule: Inhouse Call Patients per day: 16LOA: 90 days Staffing Mix: Responsible for rounding and intermittent staffing of patients with occasional code coverage; APP support handles admissions
