This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys reconciliations, problem-solving, process improvement, and technology/automation.
What You’ll Do:
- Prepare and reconcile bank and general ledger accounts
- Investigate discrepancies, variances, and outstanding items
- Reconcile subsidiary ledgers to the general ledger
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, schedules, and management reports
- Support month-end accounting activities
- Prepare documentation and workpapers for audits and regulatory reviews
- Partner with Accounting, IT, and business teams to improve reconciliation processes
- Identify opportunities to automate manual accounting workflows
- Investigate exceptions, incomplete data, unusual transactions, and automation issues
- Monitor reconciliation quality, exception trends, aging, and recurring issues
- Help develop and maintain procedures, controls, documentation, and audit trails
- Support the implementation and use of AI-enabled tools and workflow automation
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent experience2–4 years of accounting experience
- Experience with account reconciliations and internal controls
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAPAdvanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Experience in a financial institution, banking, credit union, or similar environment is a plus
- Technology / Automation Experience
Candidates with experience using AI tools, workflow automation, RPA, reconciliation software, ERP/financial systems, Microsoft Power Automate, Microsoft Copilot, or similar technologies are especially encouraged to apply.
