Senior Loan Originator

Role Description: This is a full-time, remote position for a Self Sourcing (Boots on the Ground ) Loan Officer who must reside in NYC / Boros or New Jersey. The Commercial Loan Officer will be responsible for identifying, developing, and originating commercial and investment-purpose real estate loans that meet Blue Gate Capital's lending criteria The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong local market knowledge, established relationships, and the ability to consistently generate new business.

Key Responsibilities: Originate commercial and investment-purpose real estate loans throughout Massachusetts. Develop relationships with real estate investors, developers, brokers, MLOs and other referral partners. Actively prospect and generate new lending opportunities. Evaluate potential transactions, including property values, leverage, borrower qualifications, and deal feasibility. Guide borrowers through the loan origination process from initial inquiry to closing. Collaborate with internal underwriting, processing, and capital markets teams. Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified loan opportunities.

Qualifications: Experience as a Real Estate Agent, Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO), Commercial Loan Officer, or in a related real estate finance role. Proven ability to generate new business and develop referral relationships. Strong mathematical and analytical skills. Solid understanding of real estate transactions, financing structures, and investment properties. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working independently.
