Starting Pay: $90,000 / year or more depending on experience, plus Benefits, PTO and 401KAbout the Role We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Industrial Hygienist to lead, expand, and drive the financial success of large-scale projects within our Industrial Hygiene service line. In this high-impact role, you will act as a technical authority for complex or controversial industrial hygiene challenges, mentor junior staff, and play a pivotal role in client development and sales. Key Responsibilities: Project Leadership & Execution: Take full ownership of organizing, executing, and coordinating major industrial hygiene projects, particularly those involving unique or complex technical challenges. Client Development & Sales: Drive a strong focus on combined business development, sales generation, and successful project management to expand our service footprint. Technical Quality & Review: Deliver the "total quality solution" to clients by conducting technical reviews, authoring comprehensive reports, and providing expert regulatory guidance. Mentorship & Team Development: Coordinate, guide, and develop junior-level staff as they execute day-to-day project tasks. Safety & Compliance: Champion company safety standards, promote internal policies, and ensure strict compliance across all operations.
Position Requirements
Education & Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Hygiene, Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.15+ years of relevant occupational safety, health, industrial hygiene, or environmental experience, preferred 5+ years of leadership and/or project management experience, preferred Technical Expertise Demonstrated hands-on experience performing and managing: Industrial hygiene (IH) surveys, audits, water sampling, indoor air quality (IAQ), and noise assessments. Asbestos-containing building materials (ACBM), lead-based paint (LBP), and mold surveys and investigations. Asbestos abatement and fiber release assessments. Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) program development, occupational safety training, and medical monitoring oversight. Core Competencies &
Qualifications: Strong financial acumen for managing project budgets, developing clients, and generating sales. Exceptional organization, problem-solving, and professional business writing skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and modern office/communication technology. Ability to work independently, multitask, and manage competing priorities across multiple simultaneous projects.30-Hour OSHA Construction and General Industry Safety Training. Willingness to travel up to 25%, including short-duration (2–6 days) overnight trips. Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and an acceptable driving record meeting company insurance standards. Ability to successfully clear drug and alcohol screening, local/state/federal background checks, and wear a full-face respirator and required PPE.
Preferred Qualifications: 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER Health & Safety Training. High-level professional certifications such as CIH, CSP, or CHMMCurrent asbestos and/or lead-based paint certifications.
