Senior Environmental Remediation Engineer/Scientist (REMOTE ROLE)

Overview In this role you will lead and support EPA-related remediation projects, focusing on Superfund and Brownfields programs. You will guide site characterization, remediation strategy development, and cost estimation while managing multi-disciplinary teams and client relationships. You will also drive technology transfer and training to promote innovative cleanup approaches. This position offers meaningful impact through advancing mining-related and general contaminated-site cleanup within a collaborative, mission-driven firm. Responsibilities Lead site characterization and remediation technology applications for Superfund and related programs Lead and support technology transfer and training on innovative cleanup approaches Develop conceptual site models, site strategies, optimization recommendations, and assist with systematic project planning and cost estimation Manage multi-disciplinary project teams and engage with clients Support remediation planning for mining sites and mining-influenced water challenges Develop technical deliverables and training materials Collaborate within cross-functional teams to advance cleanup projects Key requirements Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, science or similar discipline Minimum 8 years of experience in site characterization and remediation of Superfund, Brownfields, and other contaminated sites Experience with remediation of mining sites and mining-influenced water Knowledge of EPA Superfund cleanup program and policies Experience in cost estimation for environmental characterization and cleanup programs and in development/decommissioning of renewable energy projects Expertise in developing technical deliverables and training materials Strong client engagement and project management skills Excellent written and oral communications skillsteam playerstrong communicationclient engagementsite characterizationremediation technologiesconceptual site models
