Jones Health Law, P.A., a boutique healthcare law firm based in Downtown Miami, is seeking an Associate Attorney with 0–3 years of experience to join our growing practice. This is an opportunity for a new or early-career attorney who is genuinely interested in developing a career in Health Law and wants meaningful exposure to sophisticated healthcare matters early in their career. The Associate will work directly with the Firm’s Founder and Managing Partner and will have the opportunity to develop substantive legal skills, client-management experience, and a professional presence within the healthcare industry. Because we are a small, specialized practice, this is not a position where a junior attorney will be confined to one narrow type of assignment. The successful candidate will gain experience across a broad range of healthcare regulatory, transactional, administrative, and reimbursement matters while gradually assuming greater responsibility for client matters. Spanish fluency or professional proficiency is preferred but not required. Prior healthcare-law experience is beneficial but not required. We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate a genuine interest in developing a long-term career in health law. Compensation and Benefits: For an entry-level attorney, the anticipated starting base salary will be determined based on prior legal experience, healthcare‑law experience, qualifications, and other relevant factors. The compensation and benefits package is expected to include: Discretionary annual performance bonus; Formal compensation review after approximately six months for an entry-level attorney; Eligibility for an origination bonus equal to 10% of qualifying legal fees collected from personally originated clients, subject to Firm policies; Health insurance or health-benefit contribution; 12 days of paid time off annually; Eight paid Firm holidays; Florida Bar membership dues; Florida Bar Health Law Section membership; American Health Law Association membership; Up to $1,000 annually for approved CLE programs, in addition to other Firm-approved professional development; Firm-approved conferences and related travel expenses; Professional liability insurance; Parking at the Firm’s Downtown Miami office; and Firm-provided technology and equipment necessary for the position. The Firm anticipates an eventual annual billable-hour expectation of approximately 1,400 hours, with appropriate recognition that a new attorney's initial months will include significant training, professional development, shadowing, and other non-billable activities. Work Environment This is a full-time hybrid position based in Miami, Florida. The current anticipated schedule is: Tuesday–Thursday: In office at our Downtown Miami location Monday and Friday: Remote, subject to client and Firm needs The position may also require occasional travel for client meetings, hearings, administrative proceedings, conferences, CLE programs, and other Firm-related activities. Because of the size and entrepreneurial nature of our Firm, we are looking for someone who wants to be an active part of the organization—not simply someone who wants to complete assignments. The Associate should be comfortable taking ownership of responsibilities, contributing ideas, participating in Firm initiatives, and growing alongside the practice. Why Jones Health Law? For the right candidate, this position offers something that can be difficult to find at the beginning of a legal career: direct access to meaningful work, clients, mentorship, and professional-development opportunities from the outset. You will not be one of dozens of junior associates. You will be an important member of a growing boutique healthcare law practice, with the opportunity to help shape both your own practice and the future of the Firm. Candidates who are intellectually curious, entrepreneurial, committed to excellent client service, and serious about developing a career in health law are encouraged to apply.
