HVAC Estimator – Tampa, FL$95,000 – $120,000 + benefits | Full-time | On-site Our client is an established commercial HVAC and mechanical contractor in Tampa Bay, growing steadily on new construction, renovation and service work. They're adding an HVAC Estimator to price more of the projects coming their way.
What you'll do:
  • Price commercial HVAC and mechanical projects from plans and specs, including takeoff, labor, equipment and subcontractor pricing
  • Review drawings, scopes and addenda, and flag gaps or risk before bid day
  • Get and level vendor and subcontractor quotes, and build clear scope letters
  • Work with project managers on value engineering and design-build options
  • Hand awarded jobs over to operations with a clean, well-documented estimate
  • Build relationships with general contractors, engineers and suppliers across Tampa BayWhat you'll bring 3+ years estimating commercial HVAC or mechanical work, from a contractor, distributor or engineering firm
  • Strong plan-reading skills and a solid grasp of ductwork, piping, equipment and controls scopes
  • Experience with digital takeoff software and Bluebeam
  • Organized, accurate and comfortable working to several bid deadlines at once
  • Knowledge of the Tampa Bay GC market is a strong plus
  • What's on offer$95,000 – $120,000 base, depending on experience
