Terracon is seeking an experienced Environmental Regulatory Compliance Scientist or Engineer to join our Team in DFW Metro. A Broad Range Of Regulatory Compliance Experience, With Technical Expertise In Some Of The Following Areas Client-facing technical discussions and strategy development Regulatory analysis and interpretation Agency coordination and negotiation with TCEQ/EPA RCRA/Hazardous waste Stormwater (municipal, industrial, construction) Compliance auditing Oil Storage/SPCC plans/FRPs SARA Title III (Tier II/TRI) reporting Industrial wastewater Air permitting (Title V and minor source) Sustainability Environmental Management Systems
Essential Roles And Responsibilities: Grow and expand existing environmental compliance services Understand the local and regional market Participate in the development of local and regional marketing strategies Develop strong working relationships with clients Develop proposals in response to RFPs and client requests Prepare calculations, applications, plans, reports, proposals, and other deliverables Manage projects to ensure quality and timeliness Mentor staff in technical and consulting aspects of the profession Support safety efforts to promote safety rules and guidelines Evaluate problems and develop practical solutions that enable our clients to achieve and maintain compliance with environmental regulations
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering (Environmental, Chemical, or Civil preferred), or other environmental-related discipline Minimum 10+ years of experience in a full-time regulatory compliance consulting role Demonstrated experience identifying and expanding client relationships Demonstrated high level of technical writing ability Excellent analytical and communication skills Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word Ability to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work and possess a positive attitude Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving history
Preferred Requirements: For Engineers, P.E. 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER and current 8-Hr refresher preferred Master’s degree
