Operate and maintain CDL-A tractor safely and professionally Transport expedited LTL and truckload freight on time Comply with all FMCSA/DOT regulations and company safety standards Use ELDs to maintain accurate logs and documentation Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Coordinate with dispatch for load planning and routing Protect freight integrity and follow proper securement procedures Communicate effectively with customers and operations teams Manage fuel, tolls, and operating costs as an independent contractor Uphold Forward Air’s service, reliability, and performance standards CDL-A truck driving Trip planning Electronic logs (ELD) Freight securement FMCSA/DOT compliance Time management Basic vehicle inspection Route optimization Customer communication Safety procedures Valid CDL-A license Clean driving record DOT medical certification TWIC card preferred Hazmat endorsement preferred
