Construction Project Engineer

Job Categories: Construction Project Management Job Types: Full TimeJob Locations: Roseville CA San Francisco Bay Area CA San Jose CAThe Construction Project Engineer is responsible for supporting all aspects of a project including estimating, bidding, subcontracts, change orders, RFIs, budget development, and invoicing. The PE will learn to drive efficient and timely completion schedules with utmost professionalism. Responsibilities And Expectations Interpret detailed construction drawings and specifications Communicate clearly and effectively with Subcontractors, Architects, Inspectors, and other team members Maintain a strong positive team environment between all project members Manage, orchestrate, monitor, and document all site activities on a daily basis Create and manage Change Order process and log Assist in creating schedules Assist in creating and managing Submittal and Procurement logs Assist in the review and processing of shop drawings Assist in creating and maintaining short-term project look‐ahead schedules Scheduling all on-site activities and site inspections Manage project changes on site and be responsible for distributing current project information to all trades Maintain project information on site in an organized manner Assist in layout and coordination of tradesmen on site Assist in the coordination of design, engineering, and for‐site utilities Assist in creating and managing requests for information Assist in managing punch‐lists and project close‐out documentation Education And Experience1‐5 years of proven experience at a design/build or construction related field Project Management Certification (PMP, MPM, etc.) preferred but not required Construction Management, Architectural or Engineering degree preferred but not required Required Competencies / Qualities Excellent leadership, organizational, and team communication/presentation skills Field experience is a plus Desire to develop comfort in interfacing with clients Passion for construction project management Passion for architecture and design Strong analytical skills Comfort in working independently as problem solver in a fast‐paced environment Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills Strong computer skills with experience in Microsoft suite including Excel and MS Project
