Job Title: Medical Director, Liver Transplantation CenterSupport and time commitment: 25% FTETerm and Reappointment: 3 years with annual reviewMedical Director, Liver Transplantation Center is a physician leader, jointly accountable to the ServiceLine Vice President, the Office of the Chief Medical Officer, and the clinical section chief that works toadvance the delivery of clinical care and operational performance of the Liver Transplant Center inpartnership with dyad nursing partner, administrative leadership, or other key stakeholders. Theincumbent medical director is accessible to the Liver Transplant Center during routine hours forescalation of issues, clinical or operational, as they arise. The incumbent medical director will provideoversight, feedback, and ensure accountability for physician performance on the Liver TransplantCenter, including escalation of issues as needed, regardless of the physician's clinical discipline, employment, or other factors. The incumbent medical director will also collaborate with patientexperience, regulatory affairs, social work, or any other work group as necessary. The inpatient medicaldirector will also serve as a partner in, and be accountable for, the implementation of processimprovement, quality and safety, access, patient experience, or any other improvement project in theLiver Transplant Center, including but not limited to the engagement, monitoring, and performance ofthe clinical teams providing care on the Liver Transplant Center, either primary team or consultingservice.
