As a Commissioning Specialist on our team, you will participate in onsite activities to support Data Center Commissioning projects. You will have the opportunity to lead and perform all electrical commissioning related activities to include testing (QA/QC, Functional Performance) and equipment and systems start-up, resulting in a safe and functional environment that meets established design requirements and stakeholder expectations. Candidate will engage in owner's L4-L5 Data Center commissioning while overseeing and supporting the L0-L3 commissioning activities. You will have the responsibility of working directly with Jacobs clients, project stakeholders, and contractors to achieve the best possible outcome for the owner/client with a focus on operational performance and efficiency. Here's what you'll need Bachelor's degree in related discipline or equivalent years of experience 10+ years of progressive experience as an electrical commissioning specialist in activities such as: Utility infrastructure, life safety, electrical power systems, low voltage systems, building/facility systems/components, and facility O&M2-3 years of focused experience as an electrical commissioning specialist on documenting L2/L3 activities and leading L4/L5 testing for Data Center commissioning Working knowledge of NFPA, NETA and NICET electrical testing and code requirements Understanding of the Construction processUS Citizenship Must be able to clear a background check Ability to travel up to 50%Ideally, You'll Also Have: Ideally the candidate will reside in the Washington DC or Northern Va Metro area Industry recognized commissioning certification IR thermography Level 1 or Level 2 certificationAWS or similar L4 lead certificationNFPA 70E certificationOSHA 10 (minimum), OSHA 30 (preferred) Experience with PQMs#LI-KS7Our health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
