Interventional Radiologic Technologist (IR) | Hartford, Connecticut

Key Qualifications: Certification and current registration as an Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist. Proven experience in an imaging setting, specifically with IR procedures. Deep understanding of imaging equipment, safety protocols, and sterile techniques. Ability to assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic interventional radiology procedures. Excellent communication skills for clear patient and team interactions. Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities: Prepare the interventional suite and ensure all necessary imaging equipment is functioning optimally. Support interventional radiologists by setting up procedures and assisting during interventions. Maintain a sterile field and practice proper infection control at all times. Operate imaging systems during procedures, adjusting settings for optimal clarity and safety. Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures, providing support and reassurance. Document all procedures accurately in accordance with facility policy and regulatory requirements. Ensure strict adherence to privacy laws and patient confidentiality protocols.
