Urgent Care Licensed Practical Nurse

CareNow, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide compassionate, high-quality care in our busy urgent care clinic. The LPN will perform triage, obtain vital signs, administer medications and injections, assist with procedures, perform point-of-care testing, support providers, and document accurately in the EMR. You will educate patients, reinforce discharge instructions, and promote infection control. Perform patient intake, triage, and obtain vital signs and histories Administer medications, injections, and immunizations per provider orders Assist with minor procedures, wound care, splinting, and dressing changes Perform point-of-care tests (strep, flu, urinalysis, glucose, etc.) and EKGs Accurately document care in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Provide patient education and reinforce discharge instructions Maintain infection control, room cleanliness, and supply stocking Coordinate patient flow and support providers in a fast-paced setting Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team Adhere to clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements Patient triage Vital signs measurement Medication administration Wound care and dressing changes Point-of-care testing (strep, flu, UA, glucose) EKG performance Electronic Medical Records (EMR) documentation Injections and immunizations Patient education and discharge instructions Infection control and aseptic technique Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active LPN/LVN license in state of practice BLS (Basic Life Support) certification IV certification (preferred, if applicable by state) Previous urgent care, ER, or clinic experience (preferred)
