The Material and Equipment Coordinator is the resource for the acquisition of supplies, services, and equipment along with inventory par levels and inventory control.
Qualifications
Required Education: High School Diploma or GEDPreferred Education:
- Associates or Bachelor's Degree
- Necessary Skills:
- Knowledge in all aspects of supply/equipment processing, ordering or automated system.
- Experience with standard office software.
- Clinical efficiency.
- Ability to educate staff regarding the use and cleaning of specialized equipment related to assigned department/division. Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge in the use of universal precautions.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to make decisions independently; self driven and a skilled negotiator
Required Licensure/Certifications:
- BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Preferred Licensure/Certification:
- Paramedic/Emergency Department Technician/Anesthesia Technician Required
Experience:
1-2 years' experience with supply operations or direct patient care in a clinical environment Preferred
Preferred Experience: 3-5 years EDT or Anesthesia Tech or 1-2 years Paramedic experience
