Greenfield, INOur client is a growing environmental and engineering consulting firm is seeking an experienced President – Environmental Services to lead its environmental practice. This position will be responsible for the overall growth, financial performance, client relationships, operations, technical direction, and team leadership of the environmental division. The ideal candidate will have a strong environmental consulting background along with proven experience leading people, managing projects and financial performance, and developing new business.
Responsibilities:
Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for the environmental practice. Manage division performance, including revenue, profitability, budgets, backlog, staffing, and project performance. Lead business development efforts and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients. Identify opportunities to expand environmental services, clients, and markets. Oversee environmental projects involving investigation, remediation, regulatory compliance, and due diligence. Provide technical and strategic guidance on complex environmental projects. Maintain relationships with regulatory agencies, including IDEM and other applicable state and federal agencies. Review major proposals, scopes, budgets, contracts, and project strategies. Recruit, mentor, and develop environmental project managers, scientists, geologists, engineers, and technical staff. Promote collaboration with the firm's geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing groups. Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, within budget, and in accordance with regulatory requirements. Represent the company with clients, industry organizations, and business partners. Experience should include several of the following: Soil and groundwater investigations Environmental remediationUST/LUST projects Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments Environmental due diligence BrownfieldsRCRA and CERCLARegulatory closure / No Further Action Industrial environmental compliance Geological and hydrogeological investigations Environmental permitting and regulatory compliance President -
Environmental Services Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Geological Engineering, or related field.15+ years of environmental consulting experience preferred. Previous leadership experience within an environmental consulting practice, department, or business unit. Experience managing budgets, profitability, staffing, and project performance. Proven client relationship and business development experience. Strong understanding of environmental regulations, investigation, remediation, and compliance. Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills. Professional credential such as PG/LPG, PE, or CHMM preferred.
