Madison Davis is partnering with a leading law firm on a search for an experienced Pricing Manager to join its growing pricing function. This is a fully remote opportunity offering a base salary of up to $190K, depending on experience. The Pricing Manager will work closely with firm leadership, attorneys, Finance, and Business Development to develop and execute pricing strategies across sophisticated client engagements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with attorneys and senior stakeholders on pricing strategy for new and existing matters
- Develop and evaluate alternative fee arrangements (AFAs), including fixed fees, blended rates, volume-based arrangements, and other customized structures
- Build financial models to assess revenue, profitability, realization, and margin
- Support client pitches, RFPs, rate negotiations, and matter budgeting
- Analyze historical matter performance and provide data-driven pricing recommendations
- Monitor matter performance against budgets and pricing assumptions
- Partner with Finance and Business Development to improve pricing processes, reporting, and commercial decision-making
- Present pricing recommendations and financial analysis to senior stakeholders
Ideal Background:
- Pricing experience within a law firm or professional services environment
- Strong understanding of law firm economics, including rates, realization, utilization, profitability, and matter budgeting
- Hands-on experience developing and analyzing AFAsAdvanced Excel and financial modeling skills
- Ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly to attorneys and senior leadership
- Strong commercial judgment and stakeholder-management skills
