Responsibilities include conducting fundamental and deal-specific diligence, assessing regulatory and financing risks, building probability-weighted return analyses, monitoring transaction developments, and presenting investment recommendations to senior portfolio managers. Strong emphasis on downside protection, risk management, and identifying differentiated views on transaction outcomes.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
2-6 years of experience in merger arbitrage, event-driven investing, special situations, or multi-strategy hedge funds Alternatively, top-tier M&A, restructuring, or leveraged finance investment banking background Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills Demonstrated interest in public markets and catalyst-driven investing Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced investment environment Based in New York or open to relocation; U.S. work authorization preferred
