Clinical Research Coordinator IThe Clinical Research Coordinator I is a research professional who ensures oversight and compliance of both system-wide and local clinical research activities. Works collaboratively with research personnel to ethically recruit and consent pediatric subjects and to appropriately collect and safeguard data. Overall, the Clinical Research Coordinator is the site's primary liaison among research participants, the local investigator(s) and study sponsors.Key Responsibilities:Ensure proper study conduct, subject safety, and the quality of data and data safeguardsTimely data collectionEnsure accurate data entry into secure research databasesVerify data accuracy through internal quality control measuresProvides timely responses to data queriesConfirms appropriate training and education are in place to safely perform study protocols.Effectively provides information about the use of investigational products to duties as assigned.The Clinical Research Coordinator I position is open to current medical students enrolled at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville. This is a Temporary Position tentatively running from July 20, 2026-July 20, 2027.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in clinical research, science or other healthcare fieldAt least one (1) year of relevant research experience, e.g. site management, study management, research regulatory experience, data collection, compliance or other applicable experienceWorking knowledge of the clinical research processKnowledge of ethical standards for research and a commitment to protect all participantsPreferred Qualifications:Master's degree in related fieldCertification: CCRP or CCRCBilingual (English/Spanish)The pay range for this position is $21.74 - $32.62. Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
