CRIC's mission is to promote integration, economic self-sufficiency, and positive connections among refugees, immigrants, and the wider community through two-way education, improved access to existing resources, and development of new services. The VISTA Member will contribute to CRIC's mission by developing sustainable grant development resources, build organizational capacity, develop and improve communication systems, develop volunteer infrastructure and engagement tools, and resource networks to enhance organizational efficiency and systems that CRIC can use for a long time. Member Duties The AmeriCorps VISTA member will strengthen Cache Refugee & Immigrant Connection’s organizational capacity by developing sustainable systems, tools, and resources for grant development, communications, community engagement, and volunteer management. The member will research and organize information needed for grant applications and create reusable templates, tracking tools, and documented processes. They will assess current communications practices and develop sustainable resources for social media, marketing, client communication, and community outreach. The member will also assess volunteer management practices and develop resources such as a volunteer handbook, knowledge base, training materials, and documented recruitment, onboarding, and management processes. These efforts will provide CRIC staff with sustainable systems and resources to support the organization beyond the VISTA term.
