Valar Atomics is seeking a Legal Counsel to join their business organization in Long Beach, CA. The role involves providing strategic legal guidance for a company focused on scalable, high-temperature nuclear power. The successful candidate will manage a diverse portfolio including commercial transactions, project finance, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance. Key Eligibility Criteria
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Licensure: Active member of the California State Bar or eligible for Registered In-House Counsel status.
Experience:
3–6 years of legal experience, specifically in commercial contracts and transactional matters. Authorization: Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident. Responsibilities & Scope of Work Draft and negotiate commercial agreements (supply, vendor, construction, technology licenses, NDAs).Support project finance transactions and EPC agreement negotiations. Provide legal analysis regarding DOE, NRC, and FERC regulatory frameworks. Manage employment law matters, corporate records, and outside counsel relationships. Stipend & Compensation
Base Salary:
