Hazardous Waste Operations Technician Location Deer Trail, COA day in this role When you arrive for your Monday–Friday shift, safety comes first. You start with a walk-through of the tank farm, confirm equipment is in good order, and gear up to handle hands-on work. Your morning might include drum pumping or drum dumping, followed by coordinating offloads from incoming trucks. Throughout the day, you carefully follow procedures, complete waste-movement documentation, and log everything with a scanning application. You wrap up by checking that all paperwork is accurate, the area is orderly, and any additional assignments from leadership are completed.
Core responsibilities: Make health and safety the top priority by consistently following established policies, processes, and safe work practices. Perform drum pumping and drum dumping tasks with precision and care. Carry out tank farm operations and coordinate safe, compliant truck offloading. Complete and submit all required waste tracking documentation; utilize a scanning app for accurate movement records. Support additional duties as assigned by management.
What you bring: High school diploma or equivalent. Age 18 or older.1+ year of related experience. Forklift exposure is a plus but not required. Comfort using a computer for documentation and scanning. Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
