Job Description Bemana is helping to hire a Division Manufacturing Manager in Portland, OR on behalf of an organization rooted in the Northwest that provides a range of electrical construction solutions to their customers. As the Manufacturing Division Manager, youll be responsible for helping build out and scale a heavy-skid/packaged-equipment assembly division (production system, labor ramp, materials, quality/release, load-out, cost, capacity, customer delivery).The ideal candidate brings experience in industrial manufacturing leadership, having a strong mix of floor presence, production acumen, a high level of quality and growth mindset.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Build sequence, takt time, station design and daily production control. Labor planning, crew structure and shift model as volume ramps. Work instructions, process discipline and repeatability across builds. Material readiness, kitting to station and replenishment. Receiving and incoming inspection of outsourced frames and coated assemblies. Coordination of customer-supplied equipment, including delivery schedules, inspection, and the escalation procedure in the event of delays or equipment damage. Heavy skid handling, rigging, load-out and transport readiness. Quality system for the division, including first article inspection, in-process gates, non-conformance and corrective action. Test and release as a controlled step before shipment. Traceability and documentation packages that satisfy customer requirements. Direct leadership of the production organization, including supervisors, assembly technicians, material handlers, quality and test personnel. Integration of IBEW Local 48 electrical craft at defined electrical work-content points. Safety ownership in a heavy-load environment, including crane, rigging and load-out safety. Cost per unit, labor efficiency and margin performance of the division. Capacity planning and a credible commitment regarding what the operation can deliver. Customer-facing credibility on quality and delivery performance. Manage a team of 10+ production members.
Qualifications:
Demonstrates floor leadership. Has led a manufacturing or assembly operation with supervisors, technicians or operators reporting, not only projects or programs. Acumen in Production discipline. Understands ramp-up, takt or cycle time, labor planning, material flow and shop-floor execution as an integrated system. Embodies a high level of Quality ownership. Has owned quality gates, first article and release discipline in an environment where defects can reach a customer. Must lead and be led with Growth orientation. View this position as a significant step forward and demonstrate ambition, learning agility, and receptiveness to guidance. Union or skilled-trades environment experience (preferred).Heavy product experience, including rigging, crane operations, oversized handling or load-out. Experience starting up a line, cell, new product, significant production area or new facility. Lean, Six Sigma or an equivalent operational-excellence toolkit (preferred).Exposure to demanding customers with formal supplier-quality expectations (preferred).Customer-furnished or long-lead equipment coordination. ERP or MES experience in a production environment. Data center, power equipment or electrical-product exposure (nice to have).
