Salary Range: $17.00 To $18.00 Hourly Medical Assistant – Full-Time

Position Summary: The Sleep Disorder Center of Louisiana is seeking a dedicated and experiencedMedical Assistant (MA)to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting our physicians and nurse practitioners in delivering high-quality care to patients with sleep-related health concerns.

Key Responsibilities: Complete initial patient evaluations, documenting: Medication history Medical, surgical, family, and social historyUpdate patient information as needed Make, receive, and handle medically related phone calls as directed by the physician and/or nurse practitioner Call in prescription refills to pharmacies within 24 hours of patient request Answer and return all patient and/or family calls in a timely and professional manner

Experience: 3–5 years working as a Medical Assistant in a physician's office

Certification: MA certification preferred, but not required

Required: Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)

Skills: Proficient in taking vital signs and conducting medical history intake Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Team-oriented and adaptable to changing situations and new tasksWhy Join Us?
