Residential HVAC Service Technician

Ideal Services Company is seeking a Residential HVAC Service Technician to deliver high-quality maintenance, repair, and replacement services for home heating and cooling systems. In this hands-on role, you will diagnose system issues, perform repairs, and complete preventive maintenance with a strong focus on safety, craftsmanship, and code compliance. You’ll interact directly with homeowners, explaining findings, presenting options, and building trust through clear communication and reliable service, while working in a supportive, team-oriented environment with growth opportunities. Diagnose, repair, and maintain residential heating and cooling systems Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and system tune‑ups Install and start up replacement HVAC equipment and components Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and airflow issues using proper tools Handle and charge refrigerants in compliance with regulations Document work performed, parts used, and recommendations for customers Communicate clearly with homeowners about findings, options, and pricing Follow all company, safety, and code requirements on every job Maintain company vehicle, tools, and inventory in good working order Support on‑call rotation and respond to emergency service requests Diagnostics of residential HVAC systems Installation and repair of furnaces and air conditioners Preventive HVAC maintenance Refrigerant handling and charging Reading blueprints and schematics Electrical troubleshooting (low and line voltage) Combustion and airflow testing Use of HVAC meters and gauges Writing service reports and estimates Customer service and communication Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k EPA Section 608 Certification State HVAC or mechanical license or registration (where required) OSHA 10 or equivalent safety training preferred Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
