We’re partnering with a highly respected national labor & employment law firm that is actively expanding its fully remote Special Counsel team. This opportunity is designed for experienced employment attorneys who want to focus on substantive legal work and client relationships — without the pressure of originating business or developing a portable book. You’ll handle meaningful employer-side litigation and counseling matters while working alongside experienced labor & employment attorneys across a national platform.
The Opportunity:
  • Fully remote$185,000–$220,000 base salary + bonus
  • No business development requirement
  • No book of business required
  • Long-term Special Counsel position
  • Sophisticated employer-side employment work
  • Established national labor & employment platform
  • Approximately 1,750–1,850 billable hours
What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Manage employer-side employment litigation from inception through resolution
  • Handle single-plaintiff employment disputes and EPLI-covered matters
  • Represent employers before the EEOC, DOL, and state agencies
  • Draft pleadings, motions, position statements, and other substantive legal work
  • Develop pre-litigation strategy and advise clients on risk mitigation
  • Provide employment counseling and strategic guidance
  • Collaborate with attorneys across multiple offices
What We’re Looking For:
  • 8+ years of employment law experience
  • Meaningful employment law experience within a law firm setting
  • Strong employer-side / management-side employment litigation experience
  • Ability to independently manage matters and a full caseload
  • Excellent writing, analytical, and client communication skills
Candidates whose employment experience is exclusively in-house or within government will not be considered. Bar Admission Active bar membership in at least one of the following states is required: Alabama, Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Texas, Washington, Colorado, Nevada or Montana If you’re an experienced employment attorney who enjoys practicing law but has little interest in building a book or spending your time on business development, this is a rare opportunity to continue doing sophisticated work within an established national platform — fully remotely.
