Extrusion Operator - Yellow Shift

Job Title: Extrusion Operator12 hour rotating shift on yellow shift 6pm-6:30amPosition Summary: Responsibly for the productivity and quality of the assigned extruder operation. Operators will have monitored and mastered indicators that the system requires, including temperature, gauge settings, color, dimensions, etc. While reporting anyproblems to the shift supervisor.

Responsibilities: Monitor equipment operation, gauges, and panel lights to detect deviations fromstandards & adjust gauges, PLC's, and all other operational controls, to correctdeviations. Adjust controls to activate, set and regulate equipment according tospecifications. Execute various lab techniques and sampling. Able to hook up CIP lines to cyclones, transitions, and fluid bed properly. Record gauge readings, test results, and shift production on quality and productiondocumentation. Transport materials and products to and from work areas, manually, or by palletjacks and forklifts. Weigh or measure specified amounts of ingredients or materials for batching, usingdevices such as scales and pumps. Clean, lubricate and maintain the sanitary condition of all processing equipment, utilizing chemicals, automatic and manual cleaning equipment.

Environmental Conditions: Conditions include exposure to constant or intermittent noise. Ear plugs arerequired. In addition, there is exposure to conditions such as dusts, chemicals, andallergens that can affect the respiratory system, eyes, or the skin. Safety gearincluding hard hats is required for bump protection and to prevent exposure topotential contaminants.
