Responsible for performing various tasks to aid daily operations of the Sheet Metal Shop. Good attitude and aptitude to learn and be willing to invest their time into the trade.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Assisting senior employees in operation of CNC Punch Press, Waterjet Cutting Center, and Press Brakes to fabricate sheet metal product. Keeping other employees in department supplied with materials and tools. Cutting of sheet and blanks for shop machinery using hydraulic shears and cutting tools. Break-out of parts off Punch Press and Omax Waterjet. Cleaning of work areas, machines, and equipment. Delivery of parts to other departments and areas of facility.

Education and Experience: 0-2 years of related experience Requires a high school diploma or GED. Technical or Vocational Training preferred but not required.

Skills and Abilities: Understanding of shop math. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to operate power and hand tools. Ability to work within a motivated small team. Able to lift 50 pounds or more on daily basis. Willing to invest and shows initiative and quality craftsmanship.
