The Content Program Director leads the strategic vision, research, agenda design and speaker acquisition for the Medical Spa Show. This role shapes a premium, must-attend education program that moves the medical aesthetics industry forward, delivering high-value experiences for attendees and partners while supporting the show’s commercial goals. Working closely with AmSpa, our association partner, the Content Program Director combines strategic oversight with hands-on execution, from early research through onsite delivery. CONTENT STRATEGY & RESEARCH • Drive the strategic direction, objectives and positioning of the conference program, in consultation with internal and external industry stakeholders. • Identify market trends, hot topics and program opportunities through face-to-face, phone and desk research, and develop high-level themes and agendas through a clear, rigorous research process. • Build, manage and run an industry advisory committee to keep programming timely and relevant. • Partner with AmSpa on industry knowledge, trends and speaker acquisition. • Align content, themes and positioning into an original, coherent value proposition that drives the marketing strategy. • Track event industry trends in format, style and technology, and recommend new or improved conference structures to the events team. PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT & SPEAKER MANAGEMENT • Develop and execute a multi-track program, including keynotes, panels, and workshops, covering Injectables Training, Clinical Theory & Practice, Regenerative Medicine, Med Spa Practice Management & Marketing and related areas as well as emerging offerings. • Tailor content to distinct audiences, including owners and executives, clinical practitioners, aesthetic providers, operations managers and practice marketers. • Identify, vet and secure keynote speakers, faculty and subject matter experts, and manage the call for speakers, session submissions and speaker agreements. • Coordinate sponsored and industry-supported education with the sales team, keeping commercial content clearly distinct from independent education. • Deliver session descriptions, speaker information and program content to marketing on schedule to support promotion. EVENT DELIVERY & PERFORMANCE • Manage content timelines and conference administration, working with the events team to deliver a high-quality conference within or below budget. • Contribute to annual budget planning for content, speakers and programming. • Lead onsite content delivery, including session flow, speaker readiness and hands-on training logistics. • Analyze attendee feedback, session evaluations and performance data to continually refine programming.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 7+ years of conference content or programming experience, with a proven record of producing commercially successful B2B conferences.
  • Strong knowledge of the medical spa and aesthetics industry; experience in healthcare or medical education strongly preferred.
  • Extensive speaker management experience and an established network of industry experts, clinicians and key opinion leaders.
  • Experience managing content across a matrix organization with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience leading content producers or contractors and building rigorous processes and standards.
  • Ability to research new markets and deliver top-level programs on tight deadlines.
  • Excellent organization, written and verbal communication, and creative thinking skills.
  • Collaborative, proactive and confident working across functions and with senior stakeholders.
