To support the Revenue Cycle Administration Department, the full-time Internal Nurse Auditor will review patient charge statements, identify unbilled services, and defend documented services against third-party payor challenges, with a flexible remote work arrangement requiring occasional onsite presence.
Key responsibilities: Review patient charge statements to identify and defend services not properly captured on bills Perform data analysis to ensure record accuracy and report findings to management Assist in establishing and implementing internal control policies to ensure regulatory compliance
Required qualifications: B.S.N. degree required Active RN license in the State of Illinois 1-2 years of experience auditing medical records or medical claims Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and relevant computer systems Ability to serve as a resource for staff and temporary workers in the department
