Supplier Audit/ Evaluation Specialist – Polymer/ Chemical Commodity
Location: Near to Beachwood, OH Onsite/ Hybrid/ Remote: Onsite Travel: 50% Function: Supplier Quality / Procurement Auditor Overall Experience: 12–15 years | Supplier Risk Audit Experience: 8-10 years
Role Summary: You will lead the supplier audit and risk program for Polymer/ Chemical commodity, ensuring resilient, compliant, and high-quality supply. This role blends on-ground audits, analytical risk management, cross-functional collaboration, and supplier capacity to deliver measurable improvements in quality, compliance, and service.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Audit Strategy Delivery
  • Risk Assessment- Build and maintain supplier risk registers.
  • Material, Process Polymer/ Chemical commodity validation- Preferably commodities like Adhesion Engineered Polymer, Inorganic Specialty Chemicals, Upstream Chemical Polymers
  • Supplier Performance- Deploy scorecards (OTD, DPPM, NCRs, audit scores, response times, certification status), drive maturity.
  • Compliance Governance to specific norms (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 13485, OHS, IATF etc.)Stakeholder Collaboration
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering / Polymer Science / Chemistry or equivalent.8–10 years in supplier auditing, supplier quality, supplier assessment within Polymer/ Chemical commodity (Adhesion Engineered Polymer, Inorganic Specialty Chemicals, Upstream Chemical Polymers) Demonstrated experience in auditing suppliers leading to measurable outcomes.
Core Skills Competencies:
  • Supplier Operational Assessments – Perform Onsite assessments for Quality, Supply Chain Capacity
  • Apply value stream mapping, create material, and process flows, Document pain points and gaps.
  • Sound knowledge of risk modeling (FMEA/ SRM), SPC, Pareto/ 5-Why/8D, dashboarding, trend analysis.
