Position Overview: Acadia Tower Behavioral Health is seeking a Board-Eligible Adult Psychiatrist for full-time inpatient locum coverage. Join a well-supported behavioral health facility with a collaborative multidisciplinary team and manageable daily census. Schedule Monday Friday 8:00 AM 5:00 PMNo call, no weekends Patient & Workload Details
Setting: Inpatient Adult Psychiatry
Patient Census: patients Age Group: Adults 18+Patient Mix: New & established patients
Team: 12 psychiatrists + full treatment team & nursing support
Mid-Levels Onsite: YesLocum Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for adult inpatient admissions
  • Perform daily follow-ups and discharge planning
  • Diagnose and manage acute & chronic psychiatric conditions
  • Create and adjust treatment plans, including psychopharmacology
  • Monitor medication response and side effects
  • Provide crisis intervention, stabilization & de-escalation
  • Collaborate with nursing, social work, psychology, and primary care
  • Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings
  • Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation
  • Follow all regulatory, ethical, and clinical standardsEMR: WellSkyRequirementsBoard Status: Board Eligible
