Summer Camp Nurse Position Near Yosemite - 2 Week Positions Available

Skylake Yosemite Camp is located in the Sierra National Forest, in Central California on Bass Lake. Located just 30 minutes from the southern entrance to Yosemite National Park, we are 4 hours from San Francisco, and 5 hours from Los Angeles. Two Week Positions Available: June 13 - June 27 July 11 - July 25 July 25 - August 8 The Nurse has primary responsibility to provide on site health care to the campers and to maintain and manage the health center for a two-week session. Skylake also employs between 1-2 nurse's assistants to assist the nurse with day to day needs in the health center. The Nurse reports directly to the Director. Skylake has provided a co-ed traditional summer camp experience since 1945, hires 60 counselors, 7 leadership staff, 6 trips staff, and 15 kitchen staff every summer. Each session, Skylake has roughly 210 campers who stay for either 2 or 4 weeks. Activities range from waterfront activities on private docks such as SUP, canoeing, and waterskiing to many land activities such as horseback riding, mountain bikes, ropes course, arts and crafts, and sports to name a few. Everyday Skylake strives for campers and staff to benefit and grow within an inclusive community while sharing an outdoor living experience together. The activity structure, cabin structure, meal structure and small group focus at Skylake are all geared towards the development of mental, social, emotional and physical health of every staff member and camper Skylake is motivated by the goal that every individual shall leave camp stronger and more confident. Skylake is seeks highly motivated, responsible and caring nurses to oversee the health and wellbeing of our camp community under the guidance and with the support of Skylake's Directors.
