New York, NY or San Francisco, CA | On-site | Full-time | $145K–$175K base + equity Careerscape is hiring a Deployment Strategist on behalf of a fast-growing AI research company that builds high-quality audio and speech datasets for training AI models. Founded in 2024 by former engineers and operators from a leading AI data company, it already works with most of the major big tech companies and frontier AI labs, and recently raised a large Series B from top-tier investors. Leading labs want to work more closely with the company, so it needs sharp, technically curious customer-facing people to own and grow these partnerships as the team scales toward 100 people.
What you'll do:
  • Take over existing customer accounts at several top AI labs at once, keep them healthy and grow them
  • Find and close expansion opportunities within current research teams and bring on new customers, taking deals from contract to revenue
  • Build deep knowledge of audio, voice and human/AI training data so you can advise customer researchers as a trusted partner
  • Turn customer goals into clear plans, working with the internal research and operations teams
  • Make sure the team delivers high-quality data on everything promised to customers
What we're looking for:
  • 4+ years in deployment strategy, top-tier consulting (engagement manager experience a plus) or a similar customer-facing role at a data or AI company; fewer years can work with highly relevant human data or audio/voice experience
  • Experience in B2B client-facing roles, driving complex solutions for technical customers and managing relationships with senior executives
  • Technical intuition, comfort with SQL and the ability to learn the AI training data lifecycle quickly (this is a go-to-market role, not an engineering role)
  • Experience at a fast-growing startup (Seed to Series B), a tech company or a top consulting firm
Preferred: a STEM degree from a top-25 US school
