Technical Designer – Casual Intimates and Shapewear $48.76 per hour Retail Mon-Friday, 100% Onsite New York City, NY Contract, project based
What You’ll Do:
  • Execute the technical design process from product development through final fit for casual intimates and shapewear
  • Analyze and evaluate garments to establish accurate fit specifications that meet established fit, comfort, and quality standards
  • Develop technical specifications and communicate fit comments, approvals, and corrections to vendors and factories
  • Partner with Design to ensure products align with design intent, manufacturing capabilities, quality standards, and target costs
  • Coordinate adjustments with factories while maintaining the integrity of approved prototypes and ensuring product quality
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners in a fast-paced environment to support product development and resolve challenges
What We’re Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of technical design experience in intimates and/or apparel
  • Strong expertise in garment fit, technical specifications, fit evaluation, and tech packs
  • Flexible, collaborative problem-solver who maintains composure in stressful situations
  • Approachable, empathetic, and adaptable, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and support team needs
  • Open to new ways of working and proactive in identifying solutions to challenges
  • Able to work onsite in Manhattan
