CT tech

UCHealth is seeking a CT Tech to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will perform high-quality CT imaging studies, ensure patient safety, and collaborate closely with radiologists, nurses, and providers. Responsibilities include patient positioning, contrast administration, equipment operation, and accurate documentation within the EMR. You will follow ALARA radiation safety standards, support workflow efficiency, and assist with quality improvement initiatives. Perform diagnostic CT examinations following established protocols Position patients safely and correctly to obtain optimal images Administer IV contrast according to policy and monitor for reactions Operate CT scanners and related imaging equipment efficiently Ensure radiation safety using ALARA principles and shielding Document exams accurately in PACS and EMR systems Communicate effectively with radiologists and clinical staff Maintain equipment cleanliness and report malfunctions promptly Follow infection prevention and patient safety standards Support departmental workflow and participate in quality improvement Computed tomography (CT) operation Radiologic positioning techniques IV contrast administration Radiation safety and ALARA principles Cross-sectional anatomy knowledge PACS/EMR documentation Patient assessment and monitoring Infection control procedures Emergency response in imaging suite Quality control of imaging equipment Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k ARRT (R) certification ARRT (CT) post-primary certification (or obtained within 12-24 months of hire, depending on state regulations) State radiologic technologist license (if required by state) BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
