Role Description:
The Pediatric Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner will provide direct pediatric patient care in a full-time, on-site role located in Miami, FL. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting patient histories and physical exams, diagnosing and managing common pediatric conditions, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and prescribing appropriate treatments under established protocols. The role involves providing anticipatory guidance and education to patients and families, coordinating care with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and participating in immunization and preventive care programs. The Pediatric Physician Assistant will also assist with minor procedures, support follow-up care, maintain accurate and timely documentation in the medical record, and contribute to quality improvement and practice-wide clinical initiatives.
Qualifications:
Strong foundation in clinical Medicine and Primary Care, with the ability to manage a broad range of pediatric presentations. Experience or familiarity with Pediatrics including coordination of care with pediatric sub-specialists. Demonstrated excellence in Patient Care, including compassionate communication and family education. Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program; current or eligible Florida PA license and national certification (PA-C).Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Strong documentation skills and comfort with electronic health records (EHR) systems. Prior pediatric clinical experience is highly preferred; bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
