TYG is partnering with a leading, highly successful design-build construction firm with a strong track record delivering large-scale, high-profile projects across the U.S., including mission-critical and data center facilities - to find an experienced MEP Superintendent for a major data center build in the Dallas market.
The Role: We're looking for an experienced MEP Superintendent to run day-to-day field operations for the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing scope on a large-scale data center construction project. This is a boots-on-the-ground leadership role for someone who has directly supervised MEP installation and commissioning on mission-critical sites and knows how to keep multiple trades moving safely and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities: Directly supervise daily on-site MEP installation activities, ensuring work matches drawings, specs, and code Lead and coordinate MEP subcontractors and trade crews on-site, resolving field conflicts and sequencing issues in real time Oversee and support commissioning activities in the field, working alongside commissioning agents to troubleshoot and verify system performance Enforce site safety standards and conduct regular safety walks specific to MEP work Manage daily/weekly look-ahead schedules for MEP trades and hold subs accountable to the master schedule Inspect installed equipment (generators, UPS, chillers, CRAC/CRAH units, switchgear, etc.) for quality and code compliance Coordinate closely with the Project Manager on progress, manpower needs, and material logistics Manage field-level punch lists and drive closeout through to turnover Run daily huddles/toolbox talks with MEP trade foremen Maintain accurate daily reports, photos, and field documentation Identify and elevate field risks, delays, or quality issues before they become bigger problems
What We're Looking For: Proven experience as an MEP Superintendent on data center or mission-critical construction projects Hands-on field experience overseeing MEP equipment installation Direct experience supporting or supervising commissioning activities on-site Strong working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems specific to data centers Strong leadership presence - able to manage multiple trades and keep a high-stakes site running safely and efficiently Excellent communication and problem-solving skills under pressure OSHA 30 (or equivalent) certification preferred
