The primary function of the role is to inspect components and assemblies for dimensional, aesthetic and workmanship characteristics. Simultaneously, the Quality Control Inspector II will verify documentation is complete and accurate from internal and external suppliers. This Team Member will perform all mechanical inspection using micrometers, calipers height gages and hardness testing equipment and will log data as required. The Quality Control Inspector II will interpret measuring results passing confirming product and will generate non-conformance documentation. Successful accomplishment of duties and responsibilities may require the following: Must have the knowledge and experience necessary for the position. Must be able to operate the various machines within the department with minimal instruction. Excellent attention to detail. Must be able to read and understand drawings, blueprints and be able to inspect the parts they are machining. Ability to measure with vernier caliper, micrometers and height gauges. Must be able to follow instructions and procedures and work with minimal supervision. Strong communication, both written and oral and problem-solving skills. Must be adaptable to a changing work environment and competing demands. Excellent problem-solving skills. Actively supports and complies with Vitesse Systems objectives, guidelines and commitment to Quality and Safety, with an emphasis on continual improvement, transparency, and collaboration. Must be able to interact effectively and cooperatively with Team Members at all levels. Must have the ability to complete assignments within the timeframe specified by the Manager. Must be flexible regarding working hours and overtime. Must be able to work overtime in the evenings and weekends, with or without advanced notice. Must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) 2-4 year related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in an AS9100 environment preferred. Ability to speak and understand basic safety and manufacturing instructions. Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers. Ability to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Authorization to work in the United States.
