Job Description: The UMKC School of Dentistry seeks to fill the position of Assistant/Associate Clinical Professor or Assistant/Associate Professor in the Periodontics Department. Position will be a rankednon-tenure track or tenured/tenure-track commensurate withapplicant qualifications. The faculty will have primary responsibilities in the education andclinical supervision of DDS and Advanced Periodontics residents inthe field of Periodontology. There is an opportunity for additionalcompensation in clinical practice for qualified candidates.

Qualifications: Applicants must have a DDS or DMD degree and a certificate ofadvanced training in Periodontology from a CODA-accreditedinstitution. To be eligible for a tenure-eligible faculty position, applicants must present: an active research schema and demonstrated success or potentialfor success in obtaining external funding as a Principal Investigator or Co-Investigator prior experience or demonstrated ability to teach didactic andclinical courses in an advanced dental education program, and evidence of service to and/or participation in organizationswhich work to advance dental education and research Anticipated Hiring Range Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications, experienceand evidence of success in externally funded research. This is a 12-month, benefit-eligible, full-time (1.0) faculty appointmenteligible for either non-tenure track (or) tenure/tenure-track withrank and track commensurate with applicant qualifications.
